Organic Materials Research Scientist at Solvionic

Matjaž Koželj has over 15 years of experience in research, particularly in the development of new materials for lithium and lithium-ion batteries. Matjaž is currently an Organic Materials Research Scientist at Solvionic, where they focus on developing scalable synthetic procedures for the final industrialization of organic materials. Prior to this, they were a Researcher in Organic Chemistry at SCE France, where they managed and implemented new research projects focused on the development of lithium all-solid batteries. Matjaž has also worked as a Researcher at the Kemijski Inštitut - National Institute of Chemistry, where they focused on developing new ionic liquids and lithium salts for battery technologies. In addition to their work in research, Matjaž has also completed training courses in radioactive chemistry and was a Graduate Student and Exchange Student at the Department for Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.

Matjaž Koželj has a Diploma of Education in Organic Chemistry from the University of Ljubljana, which they earned from 2000 to 2005. Matjaž continued their education at the same university, completing their Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry and Materials Chemistry from 2005 to 2010. Afterward, they pursued a PostDoc degree in Lithium Batteries, Organic Materials Chemistry, and Electrochemistry at McGill University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013.
