Oscar Huertas

Oscar Huertas has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Oscar started in 2009 at Intelligent Pharma as a Computational Chemist and Project Manager in R&D, where they provided computational chemistry solutions to help the medicinal chemist be more efficient, including drug design, hit identification, hit to lead optimization, target druggability and ADME/Tox predictions. Oscar also managed Activity Base from IDBS and E-Workbook from IDBS. In 2012, Huertas joined SOM Biotech as Head of Drug Discovery and Senior Scientist.

Oscar Huertas has a diverse educational history. Oscar obtained a Master's degree in Project Management from Universitat de Barcelona in 2018. In 2011, they completed a course in patentes y Modelos de utilidad from the same university. Oscar also earned a Biochemistry degree from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 2001 and 2003. Furthermore, they have obtained a Chemistry degree, a Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and a Postdegree in Regulatory Affairs from Universitat de Barcelona.
