William Das

Founder Fellow at Soma Capital

William Das has a strong background in computer vision and deep learning. William has worked as a Computer Vision + Deep Learning Intern at both Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and New York University, where they developed neural networks and fine-tuned CNNs for medical imaging analysis. William also has experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Helix and an Applied AI/ML Software Engineer Intern at Nokia Bell Labs. Additionally, they co-founded Ocular Diagnostics, Inc. and served as the Co-Founder and CTO, focusing on AI-based diagnostics for ADHD. William has received recognition for their work, including being selected as a Soma Founder Fellow and a Human Capital Scholar. William is also the Co-Founder and Director of Technology at Coding for Impact, an international youth-led social tech organization.

William Das completed their high school education at Hunter College High School from 2015 to 2021. William obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Cognitive Science with a specialization in the Intelligent Systems Track from Columbia University. William'sundergraduate studies lasted from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, William has obtained several certifications, including Triplebyte Certified from Triplebyte in January 2022, Human Subjects Research from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in July 2020, and Rigor, Reproducibility and Ethical Behavior in Biomedical Research, also from the CITI Program in July 2020.
