Rhiannon Lord

Rhiannon Lord is a Geotechnical Staff Engineer at Somat Engineering, Inc. since May 2022, bringing extensive experience in civil engineering from previous positions. Rhiannon served as a Civil Engineering Student and Student Assistant at Lawrence Technological University from August 2019 to May 2022, where Rhiannon also led the ASCE Concrete Canoe Team. An internship at Cadillac Asphalt, LLC involved quality control testing on asphalt samples and developing new mix designs. Preliminary planning for a construction project occurred during an internship at Idaho State University, alongside research collaboration with faculty and the Idaho Transportation Department. Prior military service as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate in the US Navy from September 2010 to September 2016 enhanced Rhiannon's technical abilities. Rhiannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and Idaho State University.
