George Short has extensive experience in legal and nonprofit sectors, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Sansum Clinic and as a Shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck since 2001. Active in community service, George is a long-time Member of the Board of Directors for both the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation and The Glendon Association, where leadership roles include serving as Board president and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively. Additionally, George holds the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Somera Capital Management, contributing to the firm's real estate investment management activities since 2001. Former involvement with Direct Relief included Board membership and leadership on the Executive Committee and Audit Committee. Educational achievements include a J.D., cum laude, from California Western School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA.
