Dave Raasakka has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Dave started their career in 1995 as a Design Engineer at Pettibone/Traverse Lift LLC, where they worked on engineering projects including chassis redesign and certification. In 2001, they moved to C-Tech Industries as a Design Engineer, responsible for machine design and manufacturing of parts washers. In 2004, Dave returned to Pettibone/Traverse Lift LLC as an Aftermarket Product Support Manager, overseeing product support activities.

In 2010, Dave joined Hawk Technologies, LLC as a CAD Services Manager, involved in business development, project management, and design work. Dave then transitioned to BridgeGuard, Inc. (formerly a division of Talon Research, Inc.) in 2011, working as a Mechanical Engineer/National Sales Manager. Dave's responsibilities included business development, application engineering, and sales.

Dave later joined Somero Enterprises in 2014, where they held multiple roles. Dave started as a Mechanical Engineer, contributing to the company's mechanical designs. Dave then advanced to the position of Global Customer Support Manager, overseeing customer support globally. Currently, Dave holds the role of VP Global Customer Support at Somero Enterprises.

Dave Raasakka earned an Associate Applied Science degree in Mechanical Design from Michigan Technological University between 1989 and 1991. Dave then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the same university between 1997 and 1999. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Licensed Residential Builder from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in May 1993.
