Olivier Pourquie is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur in the field of genetics and biomedical research. Currently serving as Co-Founder at Somite Therapeutics since October 2023, Pourquie also holds professorships at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital, both initiated in September 2014. Previous roles include Co-Founder of Anagenesis Biotechnologies (2011-2022) and TROPHOS SA (1998-2015, later acquired by Roche). Additionally, Pourquie was Editor in Chief at Development from October 2009 to September 2018 and Director at the Institut de Genetique et de Biologie Moleculaire et Cellulaire until June 2012. The academic journey includes a PhD in Developmental Biology from Institut national agronomique Paris-Grignon (2008-2012) and an MSc in Engineering from the same institution, complemented by engineering studies at AgroParisTech.
