Janice Messick

Janice Messick is an experienced Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Officer currently working at SOMO since October 2018, with a strong focus on project management, budget monitoring, organizational planning, grant management, and quality improvement. Prior to this role, Janice served as a Consultant at Matthat Software B.V., coordinating ProjectConnect client activities and supporting NGOs with software implementation. Janice also held positions at Simavi as a PME Support Officer and Intern, focusing on WASH Alliance International and database organization. Earlier experience includes working as a Technical Adviser at UCL, conducting research on maternal and child nutrition, and completing a master's thesis at Uppsala University on iron supplementation in rural Bangladesh. Janice holds a Master of Science in International Public Health from Uppsala University, an Honours Certificate from Maastricht University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services from Maastricht University.
