Stephan Schrecke

Stephan Schrecke is an accomplished professional in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, currently serving as Head of Global Marine & Energy and Senior Vice President, Head of Global Downstream Energy at Sompo since April 2017. With prior experience as a Senior Underwriter for Marine & Energy at Endurance from August 2014 to March 2017, and a significant tenure at PartnerRe from March 2004 to July 2014, including roles as Senior Underwriter and Client Partner for Israel & Greece, Stephan has built a robust career in specialty lines and client relations. Earlier roles encompass positions at Swiss Re and various analytical and underwriting roles that shaped a comprehensive understanding of the insurance market. Stephan holds a Master of Science in Economics & Marketing from the University of Economics Berlin and has been recognized as a member of the US Dean's List during studies at Oxnard College.
