Tim Gaul

Tim Gaul has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Tim'smost recent position was Vice President at Sompo International, which they began in October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Caterpillar Inc. as the Global Export and Agency Finance Director from January 2018 to October 2020. Tim has also held various roles at Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation, including International Export Finance Director, Executive Director (Head of Cat Mining Finance EMEA/CIS) and Capital Markets Manager. Before joining Caterpillar, Tim worked as a Lloyds Underwriter at Hiscox, where they primarily focused on structured trade credit and political risk in emerging markets. Tim also worked at RBS Markets and International Banking as part of the Structured and Specialised Credit team. Tim began their career as a Consultant at Halcrow, where they worked on infrastructure project finance and provided engineering and economic consulting services. Tim also had a summer internship at Mott MacDonald.

Tim Gaul attended the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2004, where they earned an MEng degree in Engineering, Economics & Management. Prior to that, they attended Norwich School, but no further details are provided about their education there.
