Shannon F. Murphy

Shannon F. Murphy has extensive experience in managing volunteer programs and student activities across various organizations. Currently serving as Volunteer Manager at Son of a Saint since February 2024, Shannon previously held the position of Director of Volunteer Services at The National WWII Museum from May 2022 to September 2023. With a long tenure at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans as Director of Volunteers from July 2006 to May 2022, Shannon also contributed to student development as a Job & Internship Development Specialist at Loyola University from January 2003 to July 2006. Earlier roles included Director of Student Activities & University Center at LSU in Shreveport and Associate Director for Student Activities at Loyola University. Shannon's career began at Bowdoin College, serving as Associate Director of Student Activities & Smith Union Operations, followed by a role as Program Advisor at The University of Texas at Austin. Education includes a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal & Public Relations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
