Rodney Washington

Rodney Washington has a diverse range of work experience. Rodney most recently worked as a Customer Success Manager at Sonara Health starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Lifeguard & Aquatics Supervisor at LIFETIME FITNESS from March 2017 to February 2023. In this role, Rodney supervised lifeguards and swim lessons, ensured safety rules were followed, organized and ran the pool area, incorporated fun activities into swim lessons, and taught individuals of all ages how to swim. Rodney also worked as an Educator at KIPP Columbus from August 2019 to June 2022, where they developed social justice curriculum and collaborated with other teachers and administrators. Additionally, Rodney served as Chief of Staff at And Minds Partners from May 2019 to August 2019, where they managed operational personnel and monitored business processes. Rodney also has experience as a Crisis Intervention Specialist at Huckleberry House from October 2018 to May 2019, where they conducted crisis groups and worked with volunteers to build community among youth residents.

Rodney Washington attended The Ohio State University from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development & Family Science. After that, they enrolled at Grand Canyon University in 2020 and is expected to complete their Master of Education degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services by 2023. In addition to their academic achievements, Rodney also holds a certification in Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, which they obtained from the American Red Cross Training Services in January 2021.
