Jimmy Yang has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and automotive industries. Jimmy began their career as a Software Development Engineer intern at Flextronics in 2010. Jimmy then interned at Ford Motor Company in 2012, where they worked as a Software Developer for the Connected Services & Solutions Organization.
In 2013, Jimmy joined Elektrobit (EB) - Automotive as a Software Engineer. Jimmy worked there until 2015, during which they developed software and gained experience in the automotive industry.
From 2015 to 2019, Jimmy returned to Ford Motor Company, initially as a Software Development Engineer for the Ford Performance App, where they contributed to major features and received a patent for multiple core algorithms. Jimmy later became a Technical Product Manager, leading a team and improving software approval and development processes.
In 2018, Jimmy had a brief stint at DENSO as an MBA Consultant, where they investigated business opportunities in connectivity and mobility and developed product models using a human-centric design process.
Starting in 2019, Jimmy worked at Google, initially as a Technical Program Manager, responsible for connectivity and telemetry. Jimmy later became a Senior Technical Program Manager, where they managed various programs and projects. Jimmy'stenure at Google continued until 2023.
Since 2023, Jimmy has been working as a Senior Product Manager at Sonatus.
Jimmy Yang completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, from 2008 to 2012. Jimmy then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, from 2017 to 2019.
