Umer Farooq

Umer Farooq has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Umer is currently working as a Senior Azure Consultant at Sondhi Solutions since September 2021. In this role, Umer provides architectural guidance to clients and develops Azure Cloud services.

Prior to this, Umer worked as a Cloud Network Engineer at Paterson Public Schools from September 2018 to September 2021. Umer was responsible for managing the cloud network infrastructure.

From August 2017 to September 2018, Umer served as a Cloud Operations Engineer at Concept Fund Services. Here, they managed and developed cloud storage and played a role in optimizing query speed using Azure Cloud.

Starting from June 2016 to July 2017, Umer worked as an Azure Cloud Engineer at Axioma Inc. During this period, they created web-based applications for financial and regulatory reporting and supported the Hybrid Cloud Platform as a Service solution.

From September 2012 to June 2016, Umer held the position of Datacenter Migration Engineer at ConceptONE LLC. Here, they conducted technology research, designed cloud data pipeline processes, and managed infrastructure enhancement projects.

Umer's career began in 2008 at Concept Capital Markets, LLC, where they initially worked as an Information Technology Specialist from March 2008 to May 2010. Later, they served as a Senior Information Technology Specialist from May 2010 to September 2012.

Lastly, Umer worked as a Configuration Manager at Insight from January 2006 to February 2008.

Umer Farooq's education history includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from St. John's University, which they completed from 2004 to 2008. Umer went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University, which they completed from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they obtained a Master's degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University in 2021.
