Kenneth Gotlieb has held a variety of roles in the scientific and technical fields since 2010. In 2010, they worked as a Medical Device Researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. From 2011 to 2018, they were a Graduate Student at the University of California, Berkeley, where they were also a Condensed Matter Physics PhD Researcher and National Science Foundation Fellow. During this period, they also led biweekly discussions on various energy technologies as part of the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative, and worked as part of a team of business school students to develop a go-to-market strategy for a passive cooling technology. From 2018 to 2019, they were Chief Scientist and Optical Engineer at Helux Technologies, and from 2019 to 2022 they were Senior Scientist at Triple Ring Technologies, developing early stage technologies in X-ray imaging, optics, and in vitro testing on behalf of client startups. Kenneth is currently a Technical Product Manager at Sonera Magnetics, Inc.
Kenneth Gotlieb obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Harvard University between 2006 and 2010. Kenneth then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Physics from the University of California, Berkeley between 2011 and 2017. In April 2021, Kenneth obtained a Venture Deals certification from the Kauffman Fellows.
