Ahsan Bashir

Ahsan Bashir possesses extensive experience in corporate banking, currently serving as Regional Corporate Head - Central at Soneri Bank Limited since June 2015. In this role, Ahsan manages a corporate credit portfolio exceeding PKR 35 billion (USD 235 million) and has successfully enhanced profitability through growth in both outstanding portfolios and trade business. Previous roles at Soneri Bank include Head of Islamic Assets, where Ahsan increased the Islamic assets portfolio from PKR 3.7 billion to PKR 10 billion, and Unit Head CIBG, focusing on corporate credit management and client relations. Prior experience includes a position as Team Leader CIBG at Bank Alfalah Limited, where Ahsan led a team to manage a PKR 12 billion portfolio and foster new business relationships, as well as a tenure as AVP Credit at Askari Bank, where Ahsan developed business and managed customer service. Ahsan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of the Punjab, completed in 2001.
