David Ruzicka

David Ruzicka has worked in the software engineering industry since 2003. In 2003, they began working at Newte as an ASM, PLC, and Visual Basic Developer. In 2005, they moved to WebActive s.r.o. as a C/C++ and PHP Developer, where they were the main developer of Autodesk 3ds Max plugin for rendering stereoscopic content. In 2010, they began working at BPA sport marketing a.s. as a Lead PHP Developer, where they were responsible for designing architecture of newly created projects and actual development of those projects. In 2014, they moved to Socialbakers as a Senior PHP/Node.js Developer. In 2015, they began working at E-commerce Holding, a.s. as a Senior PHP Backend Developer and at STRV as a Full Stack Javascript Engineer. In 2021, they began working at Songclip as a Software Engineer (javascript, Node.js), where they are responsible for backend development, designing and maintaining solutions for data asset ingestion, automation of processes, and architecting and implementing solutions for new features.

David Ruzicka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem between 1999 and 2002. Prior to that, they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague from 1997 to 1999. In 2014, they obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
