James Freeborn

James Freeborn has a diverse work experience across various industries. James currently works as a Verified Artist at Songfinch, where they started in May 2022. Prior to this, they were a Performing Artist at HIGH WIRE PRODUCTIONS, INC. from June 2022 to January 2023.

In 2021, James worked as an Executive Housekeeper at Grand Teton Lodge Company from April to October. From 2018 to 2021, they held multiple roles at Vail Resorts, including Front Office Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, and Front Desk Agent.

James also gained experience as an Intern at Epicenter, LLC in 2018. James worked as a Development Intern at Mandeville Films, where they covered executive assistant desks and analyzed screenplays and novels for production.

Prior to these roles, James worked as a Sales Associate at Lake Monroe Boat Rental from June 2016 to October 2017. James also worked as a Reporter (Bloomington-centric) at NUVO Magazine from May to August 2016 and as a Reporter (local music beat) at Indiana Daily Student from January to May 2016.

James began their career as a Writer and DJ at WIUX in January 2015. During their time there, they hosted a weekly show, wrote album reviews, and improved their analytical and summarization skills.

James Freeborn attended Indiana University Bloomington from 2014 to 2018, where they pursued a degree in Journalism with a minor in music. While there, their field of study focused on Journalism. In 2017, they also had the opportunity to study abroad for the spring term at the University of Kent, further enhancing their knowledge in Journalism.
