Chris Scholtens

Chris Scholtens has a variety of work experience in the UX and product management fields. From 2020 to the present, Chris has held multiple roles at Sonic Foundry Inc., including Lead Product Manager, Accessibility Advocate, and Product Manager. Prior to that, Chris owned and operated Chris Scholtens Design Studio as a freelance web developer. Additionally, Chris worked at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority as a UX/Senior Web Designer and UX/Web Designer. Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated skills in web development, project management, accessibility advocacy, and user experience design.

Chris Scholtens, UXMC, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell College, which was obtained from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they earned a Master of Arts degree from the American Public University System from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they achieved various certifications including a Master UX Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group in 2020, a UX Certificate from the same institution in 2017, and a Web Development Certificate from Kirkwood Community College.
