Greg Thurman

Greg Thurman is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in information technology and clinical systems. Currently serving as the Director of Clinical Information Systems at Sonic Healthcare since November 2013, Greg leads software development, quality assurance, project management, and data science initiatives. In addition, Greg holds an advisory role at the University of North Texas for the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department, providing strategic guidance on curriculum assessment and departmental improvement. Previous roles include EMR Implementation Director at Concentra, where Greg successfully implemented EMR and billing solutions across multiple urgent care centers, and Director of Information Technology at Cooper Clinic, overseeing software architecture and best practices. With a strong foundation in software development and IT operations gained from earlier positions at Tyler Technologies and internships at Gateway and The Associates, Greg's educational background includes an MBA in Information Technology from UT Dallas and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of North Texas.
