Shannon Williams

Shannon Williams, PhD, has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and therapeutic development across various organizations. Most recently, Shannon served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Spirovant Sciences, Inc., where leadership included the successful IND filing for a novel triple combination product for cystic fibrosis. Previous roles encompass strategic regulatory guidance at Precigen, human gene and cell therapy development at Intrexon Corporation, and consulting on pharmaceutical product development at inVentiv Health Clinical. Shannon's career began at the FDA as a pharmacology-toxicology reviewer, establishing a strong foundation in drug development. Educational credentials include a PhD in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from The Brody School of Medicine and a BA in Psychology/Biology from East Carolina University. Additionally, Shannon is an accomplished musician, contributing as a banjoist, composer, and lyricist for the quartet The GoTos, specializing in bluegrass and Americana music.
