Conor Short

Software Engineer at Sonio

Conor Short has a diverse range of work experience. Conor began their career as a coach for the Irish Junior Orienteering Team in 2015, providing technical advice and support to the team during competitions. From 2010 to 2019, they worked as a freelance musician and composer, collaborating with clients and developing strong communication skills. Additionally, they worked as a sports timer, utilizing the SPORTIdent chip timing system and ensuring the smooth operation of adventure races and multi-sport events. Conor also gained experience as a general laborer for George Ballantyne Builders from 2018 to 2019. In 2021, they joined the Complex Software Lab as a research assistant, contributing to research projects until August of that year. Subsequently, Conor joined Odoo as a software engineer, focusing on software development. Currently, they are employed as a software engineer at Sonio, starting in 2023.

Conor Short completed their Bachelor's Degree in Music from Trinity College Dublin, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Conor then pursued a Master's Degree in Digital Composition and Performance from The University of Edinburgh, which they completed in 2016. Recently, Conor obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science (Conversion) from University College Dublin, where they studied from 2019 to 2021.
