Benjamin Mimoun

Benjamin Mimoun is a seasoned professional in the field of MEMS technology and product development with extensive experience in the hearing aid sector. Currently serving as Business Development Director at Sonion since October 2013, Benjamin has held various roles including Head of Development, Senior Product Development Engineer, and Development Engineer, focusing on MEMS-based microphones and modules. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral researcher position at TU Delft from October 2008 to August 2013, where Benjamin worked on flexible silicon thin film transistors, as well as a collaboration for a PhD project that developed sensors for minimally invasive medical instruments with Philips Research and St Jude Medical Systems. Benjamin's academic background includes a PhD in MEMS technology from Delft University of Technology and a Master of Science in Applied Physics/Microsystems from INSA Toulouse. Additional internships at CardioMEMS, Inc., Georgia Institute of Technology, and the National Museum of Natural History in Paris contributed to a strong foundation in experimental characterization and materials science.
