Andy Furness

Andy Furness is an experienced professional in business development and operational management within the manufacturing sector. Since July 2019, Andy has served as the European Business Development Manager at Sonoco, where responsibilities include developing systems and processes across six European Board mills and overseeing the global project management for the Paper Division’s Oracle implementation. Prior to this, Andy held various roles at Sonoco, including European SPS Practitioner and Sonoco Performance System Coordinator, focusing on the introduction and implementation of the Sonoco Performance System across multiple sites. Andy’s early career includes significant experience at Nestlé UK, contributing to Total Productive Maintenance initiatives and leading various operational roles. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Manufacturing Leadership from Lancaster University and other educational credentials from Dewsbury College and Batley High School.
