Greg Guensch

Water Resource Engineer/geomorphologist at Sonoma County Water Agency

Greg Guensch is an experienced Water Resource Engineer and Geomorphologist with a focus on river restoration and habitat enhancement. Currently employed at Sonoma County Water Agency since July 2012, Greg manages the design and construction of various capital projects and oversees large contracts with design consultants while fostering coordination among multiple departments. Prior to this role, Greg worked at Balance Hydrologics from April 2004 to May 2012, where responsibilities included project management, interdisciplinary team direction, and engineering analyses. Greg's career also includes a position as a Research Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from January 2000 to March 2004, concentrating on hydraulic analyses and the design of testing facilities for fish passage. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Watershed Science from Utah State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida.
