John McKeon

John McKeon, CPA, serves as the VP Finance & Controller at SonoThera since March 2023, overseeing annual audits, financial reporting, planning, and cash management. Previously, McKeon held the position of VP Finance and Controller at Ambys Medicines from March to November 2022, where significant improvements were made to the monthly close process and payroll coordination. With extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, roles included Senior Director at Allakos Inc. and Director of FP&A at both BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and Avinger Inc. Prior to those, McKeon worked as a Group Controller at Genentech for over a decade, focusing on developing planning solutions for various finance groups. McKeon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
