Miquel S.

Miquel S. is an experienced DSP Engineer currently at Sonova Group since February 2017, specializing in the development of signal processing algorithms for embedded ultra low power audio, RF signal processing, and inertial sensor processing. Responsibilities include designing simulations and prototypes, integrating systems, and optimizing embedded designs with a focus on constraints like quantization noise and computational complexity. Prior to Sonova Group, Miquel S. worked at Bernafon AG for over a decade, where similar responsibilities were undertaken, including clinical evaluations and algorithm partitioning between custom ASICs and DSP cores. Earlier experience includes research roles at Université de Neuchâtel/EPFL, developing an ultra low power embedded H.264 video coder, and at ETH Zurich focusing on ASIC realizations. Miquel S. holds a Master's degree in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering from ETH Zürich.
