Burak Akalin

Burak Akalin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Burak recently joined Sony Interactive Entertainment as the SoCal Workplace Operations. Prior to that, they worked at AKA Consulting as the Chief Consultant - Workplace, where they provided consultation services on various workplace strategies and achieved high client satisfaction ratings. Burak also served as the Director of Workplace Operations at Netflix, overseeing the operations of multiple corporate and animation office spaces in LA. Additionally, Burak held the position of Head of Workplace Experience at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, where they were responsible for corporate services functions and managing employee amenities. Burak also worked at Broadcom Inc. as the Head of Global Workplace Experience, Operations & Employee Engagement, overseeing workplace services in multiple countries and managing vendor contracts. Before that, they were the General Manager and Regional Purchasing Coordinator at Compass Group North American Division, where they led operational activities and achieved significant cost savings. Earlier in their career, Burak worked as an Operations Manager at ARAMARK and as a Senior Operations Manager at Aztec Shops Ltd, where they managed various dining facilities and contributed to menu development and cost controls.

Burak Akalin earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Istanbul University, attending from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further education at San Diego State University, where they obtained Certification as a Certified Marketing Specialist, specializing in Marketing and Media Relations. This Certification took place between 2000 and 2001.

Continuing their education at San Diego State University, Burak Akalin completed an MBA degree in Business Management from 2001 to 2004. Their academic journey did not conclude there, as they embarked on another educational endeavor at UCLA. At UCLA, Burak Akalin pursued an Extension program focused on the Dynamics of Interpersonal Communications, starting in 2019.
