Kathy Zhang

Kathy Zhang's work experience begins in 2008 at Best Buy, where they worked as a Technical Product Manager. In this role, they were responsible for improving the digital loyalty experience, enhancing personalization, account management, self-service options, and fraud deterrence activities.

In 2013, Kathy joined Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Cloud Engineering Senior Manager. Kathy led the design and development of gaming mice and keyboard products, managing projects from marketing concept to mass production. Kathy negotiated with marketing teams and different ODMs to align design directions, identified manufacturability risks, and developed plans to address issues. Kathy also made all product design decisions until release.

Later, Kathy took on the role of Director of Cloud Engineering and Operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Kathy led teams to deliver scalable and robust infrastructure for PlayStation4 and PlayStation 5 cloud services. Kathy currently supports 115 million active PS4 users and 5+ million PS5 users. Kathy also oversees the backend operations and cloud engineering for backend services powering PlayStation Network, including PS3, PS4, PS web-store, and mobile.

Kathy Zhang pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University between 1995 and 1997. Following this, they went on to complete their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California from 2001 to 2004.
