Mio Shimizu

Manager, Global Translation Services at Sony Interactive Entertainment

Mio Shimizu has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to present. Mio began their career at Sony Computer Entertainment America via Nelson Staffing as a Translator, where they worked with the QA Test team and assisted with game progression. Mio then joined Okiron Design Inc. as a Graphic Designer, creating and editing web and print designs for clients. Mio then moved on to Sony Computer Entertainment America, where they held various translation and interpretation roles, including Senior Translator and Manager of Global Translation Services at Sony Interactive Entertainment. In these roles, they provided interpretation support for global meetings, traveled with management members, and managed translation team operations. Before entering the gaming industry, Mio worked as a Customer Service Representative at Amc Movie Theaters and 株東京ひよ子.

Mio Shimizu attended UC San Diego from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts and Media.
