Scot Spellman has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and management. Scot started their career in 2003 at Dretronics, where they worked as a Software Engineer, Web Developer, and Technician until 2006. After that, they joined WFI - Government Services as a Software Engineer for a brief period from 2006 to 2007. Scot then worked at Epic Cycle Interactive as a Software Engineer, where they served as the lead ActionScript Engineer and worked on high-traffic NFL and NCAA websites. In 2008, Scot joined Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and held various roles. Initially, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer and led the SNEI-SD Web Development department. Later, they became a Software Engineering Manager and eventually moved up to the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager. Scot's work at SIE involved developing highly scalable, reliable, and robust APIs for the SIE network platform, including PlayStation Network, PlayStation Music, and PlayStation Vue.

Scot Spellman attended California State University San Marcos from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
