Richard Katz is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the music industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Employment Counsel in the Business & Legal Affairs department at Sony Music Entertainment since March 2004, Richard has also held key positions at BMG - The New Music Company and Sony Music Masterworks. These roles include Vice President in both Business & Legal Affairs and Business Affairs. Earlier career experience includes serving as Senior Counsel in the Law Department at Sony Music Entertainment and as an Associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Richard holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Cardozo School of Law, a Bachelor of Science (BS) from The Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Pennsylvania.
