Zac Retz

Zac Retz is a highly skilled Visual Development Artist with extensive experience in the animation industry, currently working at Sony Pictures Animation since September 2016 and simultaneously serving as a Creator at Impetus Animation since October 2020. Retz has contributed to renowned studios such as Walt Disney Animation Studios, Wink Productions, Alcon Entertainment, and Reel FX from 2015 to 2025. Additionally, Retz held the position of Art Director at DreamWorks Animation from March 2020 to October 2022. Retz possesses a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, earned between 2009 and 2012, and has a background in freelance illustration that spans several decades, specializing in areas such as concept art, video game art, portraiture, cartoons, and realism.
