Cathy Paul

Cathy Paul is a seasoned professional in intellectual property law with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Intellectual Property at Sony Pictures Entertainment since August 2018, Cathy previously held roles as Vice President of Intellectual Property at the same company and Head of Legal at Whalerock Industries. At NBCUniversal Media, LLC from 2005 to 2017, Cathy created and led a central legal group focused on advising various divisions on exploitable rights and ensuring proper acquisitions for new media distribution. Prior experience includes roles at MGM Studios, where Cathy managed legal affairs related to copyright, talent contracts, and litigation. Cathy holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from Vassar College, a JD from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
