Gabriel Chu

Gabriel Chu is an experienced story analyst and creative executive with a diverse background in film and television development. Currently at Sony Pictures Entertainment since June 2019, Gabriel edits, assesses, and provides detailed coverage for projects from prestigious labels, including Columbia and Screen Gems. Previous roles include Vice President of Development at Lab Brew and Story Analyst positions at Entertainment One and Sony Pictures. Gabriel has contributed to major film projects such as CINDERELLA and the WHITNEY HOUSTON BIOPIC, and served as a translator and dialect coach for Michael Bay's 6 UNDERGROUND. Other notable experiences include developing programming as an Original Content Executive at XRM MEDIA and overseeing multiple projects at Vertigo Entertainment, along with participation as a juror for the Austin Film Festival Dark Matters competition. Gabriel holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Baylor University and additional education from Beijing Language and Culture University.
