Austin Noronha

Austin Noronha serves as the Managing Director for Sony Ventures and the Growth Ventures & Innovation group, leading initiatives that focus on emerging technology investments and strategic partnerships for Sony. With a tenure at Sony beginning in 2002, Noronha has played a crucial role in identifying growth areas and pioneering startups. Additionally, involvement with the Innovation Advisory Council at both the Japan Society of Northern California and the University of California underscores a commitment to fostering innovation. Noronha previously chaired the Innovation Board for San Jose Earthquakes Soccer from 2016 to 2018. Academic qualifications include a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
