Annissa Kwok

Annissa Kwok, J.D. (CA), J.D. (US) serves as the Director of Legal and IP for North America at SOPHiA GENETICS, with prior roles as Associate Director and Senior Legal Counsel within the same organization since April 2021. Additionally, Annissa holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Law at Northeastern University, teaching courses in the Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs Program. Previous experience includes working as an IP Litigation Lawyer at Sprigings Intellectual Property Law and as a member of the Michigan Intellectual Property Inn of Court. Annissa has also managed legal cases at Community Legal Aid and ensured healthcare compliance at Beaumont Health. Educational qualifications include dual Doctor of Law degrees from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. Research experience encompasses roles in genomics and molecular chemistry at the University of Toronto and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
