Jose Gonzalez is the Senior Director of Professional Development at Sophia Institute Press. Jose has over eight years of experience leading day-long and multi-day professional development programs for Catholic educators across the United States. Jose's goal is to assist teachers in their efforts to catechize and evangelize their students so that they may come to a deeper and more personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
Prior to their current position, Jose Gonzalez was a Religion Teacher and Department Co-Chair at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. Jose taught Honors Catholic Social Teaching, Catholic Social Teaching, and Honors Faith and Reason (Apologetics). Jose was also the Religion Department Co-Chair, Executive Student Council Sponsor, and Lead and form the Senior Boys Freshmen retreat team.
Jose Gonzalez has also served as a Distance Education Teaching Assistant at Augustine Institute and as a Co-Director of Totus Tuus of Wichita. Jose has also served as a Youth Minister at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and as a Coordinator of Totus Tuus for the Archdiocese of Denver.
Jose Gonzalez attended the Augustine Institute from 2007 to 2009, where they studied evangelization and catechesis. Jose then attended Franciscan University of Steubenville from 1999 to 2002, where they studied theology.
