Hakob Manukyan

Hakob Manukyan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Hakob currently holds a position as Principal Engineer/Technical Director at Sophos starting from 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Questrade as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with a focus on technical leadership from 2014 to 2021. Before that, they held the role of Principal Systems Engineer, also with a focus on technical leadership, at the same company from 2014 to 2021. Hakob also worked as a Senior Software Developer at IBM Platform Computing from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they were a Software Architect and Team Lead at Pulse Voice (Enghouse division) from 2007 to 2011. Hakob began their career as a Software Engineer at Epygi Technologies - Armenian branch from 2002 to 2006. Hakob also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the State Engineering University of Armenia from 2004 to 2006 and as a Software Developer at Brience Inc. from 2000 to 2001.

Hakob Manukyan has a diverse education history. Hakob obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Software for Computing Techniques and Systems, from the State Engineering University of Armenia in 2002. Hakob further pursued their studies at the same institution and completed their Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, and Computer Systems in 2004. Later, in 2006, they obtained an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from the State Engineering University of Armenia.

In 2012, Hakob Manukyan attended the University of Toronto for a Project Management program. In 2014, they attended Yale University, where they studied Financial Markets, and the University of Maryland, where they focused on Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems.

Hakob Manukyan has also acquired various certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2013, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2015, they acquired the CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Additionally, they hold certifications from Google Cloud, including the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect and the Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer. In 2021, they obtained the Cloud Native Security: Defending Containers and Kubernetes certification from the SANS Institute.
