Nanjuan Shi has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2004 as an SDET at MS. In 2006, they moved to Microsoft as a Senior SDET Lead. In 2011, they became the Director of Product Planning at DeepIntel Solutions and Co-founder, Director of Product Planning at Monchilla Inc., where they were responsible for all aspects of planning, budgeting, design, development, and quality assurance. In 2014, they became the Director of Software Engineering at Xero, where they managed and coordinated all aspects of multiple projects. Finally, in 2017, they founded Sophtron, building a platform that fuels business growth by aggregating proprietary data and empowering consumers to make full use of their own data.

Nanjuan Shi's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1998 to 2002, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2004, and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing, Strategy, and Qmeth from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business from 2006 to 2008. Nanjuan Shi also attended Nanjing Foreign Language School.
