Business Development Manager at Soprano Design

Martin Lara's work experience begins in 2005 when they worked as a Practitioner in the Client Quality Department at Renault. In 2006, they served as a Production Engineer and Management Assistant at Semco Cosmetics, where they designed a Strategic Planning Project and managed the layout redistribution of a manufacturing plant. Martin then worked at Australia Post in 2008 as part of a consulting group focused on Corporate Social Responsibility, conducting research and providing recommendations on CSR and sustainability in the logistics and transportation sectors. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Konecta Colombia as a Product and Innovation Analyst and later as a Design and Implementation Analyst, successfully implementing Contact Center Service operations for international and existing customers.

In 2011, Martin joined C&F International as a Purchasing Negotiator, where they were responsible for negotiating and purchasing products for the company's incentive plan and participating in trade fairs to identify new suppliers. Martin then became the Foreign Trade Manager at C&F International SAS in 2015, managing all foreign trade operations and negotiations, particularly for the French cosmetics brand Yves Rocher.

Martin's work experience also includes their role as a Partner/Sales at Papeles y Etiquetas de Colombia S.A.S (Pecol) since 2017, where they focus on account management, new customer acquisition, sales, and business development. Under their leadership, there has been a consistent annual sales growth of over 25% since 2018.

Most recently, in 2022, Martin joined Soprano Design as a Business Development Manager.

Martin Lara received their education in a variety of institutions and fields of study. From 1986 to 2002, they attended The Columbus School, where they completed their Bilingual School education. Martin then enrolled at Universidad EAFIT from 2001 to 2007, obtaining a degree in Production Engineering with an emphasis on Production Management. In 2007, Martin Lara pursued an MBA at RMIT University, specializing in Administration, which they completed in 2008. In 2009, they attended Universidad EAFIT again and obtained a Diploma in International Business, focusing on International Business.
