Abinav Sankar

Abinav Sankar joined Sopris Capital in 2016 and is a Partner. He has been involved in principal investing since 2012.

Prior to joining Sopris Capital, Mr. Sankar was a Private Equity Associate at Black Diamond Capital Management focused on buyout investments and operational improvement of portfolio companies primarily in the Industrial and Consumer related sectors. Mr. Sankar began his career in the Principal Investments arm of Macquarie Capital, where he concentrated on special situations and invested across the capital structure in a variety of industries including Technology, Industrials, and Gaming & Lodging.

Mr. Sankar received a B.S.B.A. in Finance from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.
