Customer Success at Sora

Maya Sommer is currently a Customer Success at Sora. Prior to that, they were a Mentor Artist at Youth in Arts from August 2021 to January 2022. Before that, they were an Assistant Buyer at Grocery Outlet from April 2018 to June 2021.

Maya Sommer started their professional career as an Instructional Student Assistant at California Polytechnic State University from September 2016 to June 2017. There they were a professor’s assistant and course grader in the following classes: Data Analysis, Food Retail Management, Transportation and Logistics in Global Agribusiness, and Agribusiness Supply Chain Management.

From April 2016 to June 2017, they were an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the California Grocers Association where they presented industry research to the ‘Next Gen’ breakout session, shadowed Unified Grocers (SuperValu Inc.) in executive sales meetings, and hosted by Cal Poly for the CGA Executive Board Meeting. Maya was also an undergraduate research assistant during this time where they did economic impact modeling for California’s food retail industry and quantified the food retail industry's economic impact in comparison to all other industries in California using data given by CGA. The CGA used the results of their research to advise members on strategic business plans.

Maya Sommer received their high school diploma from Saint Ignatius College Preparatory. Maya went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
