Aalok Kapoor

Aalok Kapoor is the current Head of Marketplace at Sorare. Aalok has over fifteen years of experience in the technology and media industries. Prior to joining Sorare, Aalok was the Sr. Director, Regional General Manager for Uber in Europe and Asia. In this role, they were responsible for the full P&L for these markets and led the global launch of Uber Grocery.

Aalok has also worked as Vice President - Head of Technology & Media Investment Banking at Lastaki Advisors, where they advised clients on M&A and equity fund raising transactions. Prior to that, Aalok was an analyst at Boston Analytics, where they provided emerging markets investment advisory services.

Aalok began their career at Citi, where they worked as an assistant manager from 2005 to 2007. Aalok has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Mumbai and a MBA from INSEAD.

Aalok Kapoor has a Masters in Finance from Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a BMS in Management from University of Mumbai, and is certified from the CFA Institute in CFA. Aalok is also certified from Emtrain in Preventing Workplace Harassment.
