Lisa Bolding Ballenger

Lisa Bolding Ballenger is a seasoned interpreter and educator with extensive experience in the field of sign language interpretation. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania since September 2019, Lisa teaches various courses related to interpreting and American Sign Language. Concurrently, Lisa works as a VRS and Community Interpreter for Sorenson Communications and operates a private practice, Lisa Bolding Ballenger, Interpreter LLC, where a strong focus is placed on expressive English interpretation and professionalism across diverse community settings. Previously, Lisa held interpreting positions at the Kansas School for the Deaf and Interpretek, where responsibilities included management roles and providing interpreting services. Lisa's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master's in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and an AAS in Sign Language Interpreting from Johnson County Community College.
