Monique Christensen

Monique Christensen has a diverse background in technology risk and compliance. Most recently, they served as the Director of Technology Risk and Compliance at Sorenson Communications. Prior to that, Monique worked as a Cybersecurity Governance Risk & Compliance Managing Consultant at Protiviti, where they partnered with clients to execute audit and compliance methodologies, focusing on various IT frameworks and controls. Monique also had a role at Consumer Reports, where they contributed to a master's capstone project, conducting analysis and making recommendations for technology improvements to the Security & Privacy Digital Standard framework. Monique's expertise includes ISO 27001, SOC 2, ITGC, ITAC, HIPAA Security Rule, ERM, ITDR, BIA, Business Continuity, and Third-Party Vendor Risk assessment.

Monique Christensen holds a Master of Science degree in CyberSecurity Risk Management from Indiana University Bloomington, which they obtained in 2019. In addition, they have pursued various certifications including the Kelley School of Business Executive Education Foundations of Cybersecurity and Risk Management from Indiana University, the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2012, the Strategic Decision-Making and Business Risk Certification from Stanford University in 2012, the Leadership Development Program from the Center for Creative Leadership in 2007, and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2020.
