Nicola McDermott

Nicola McDermott has a diverse background in project and program management across various industries. Nicola currently holds the position of Head of Enterprise Systems at Sorted Group since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of IT Delivery at DBS Clothing Siksilk from June 2020 to December 2022. Before that, they served as the Head of IT Delivery at Card Factory from April 2019 to May 2020.

Earlier in their career, they held the role of Programme Manager IT Solutions at Clipper Logistics plc from September 2017 to April 2019. Nicola also worked as the Supply Chain and Operations Programme Manager and IT Project Manager at SIG plc from March 2017 to August 2017 and April 2015 to March 2017, respectively.

Before joining SIG plc, Nicola McDermott worked as the NPD Innovation Project Manager at Fox's Biscuits from April 2014 to April 2015. Nicola also gained experience as a Client Project Manager - Capital Schemes at Yorkshire Water from August 2012 to April 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Supply Chain Project Manager at Mars from July 2011 to August 2012.

Nicola's career began with a short-term role as a Project Manager Summer Works at Unite Group in June 2011. Nicola also gained international experience during their travel to New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore from November 2010 to February 2011.

Nicola McDermott completed their education at Leeds Beckett University from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Supply Chain and Strategic Marketing. Nicola successfully obtained their MBA (Merit) in September 2009. In addition to their degree, Nicola also holds several certifications. In March 2003, they obtained the Association of Accounting Technician - Technician certification from AAT. Later on, in August 2009, they obtained the Prince2 Practitioner certification from APMG International. In February 2016, Nicola obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
