Filipe Macedo

Filipe Macedo has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Filipe started their career as a Software Developer Trainee at Tinus Informática in 2007, where they worked on various projects involving object-oriented databases and backend applications. Filipe also gained experience in working with JavaScript web applications and Java for creating Jasper reports.

In 2008, they joined UNIMED Norte/Nordeste as a Junior Software Developer, focusing on .NET 3.5 Framework development and maintaining web projects. Filipe utilized WebForms, Javascript, and Oracle Database for this role.

Moving forward, Filipe worked as a Freelancer from 2010 to 2015, where they developed and launched solutions for different clients. During this time, they took on the responsibilities of managing the business, solving problems in areas such as tax procedures, people management, and cost reduction. This role allowed him to be more creative, learn new technologies, and tackle the challenges of entrepreneurship.

From 2015 to 2018, they joined Concepta, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer. Here, they mainly worked with .NET Core REST applications and Xamarin native mobile apps for iOS.

In 2018, Filipe co-founded a company called 101 Soluções em Tecnologia and took the role of Frontend Developer/Co-founder. Filipe worked on creating REST services with Node.js and building web applications using React.

Filipe joined Farfetch in 2019 as a Senior Software Engineer and worked on projects involving React and Next.js. Filipe also built a React library of UI Components following branding guidelines.

Also in 2019, Filipe worked at Aubay as an Information Technology Consultant. Here, they worked as an IT consultant, conducted technical interviews for candidates, and elaborated tech guidelines.

In the same year, they briefly worked as a Frontend Mobile Developer at Orange Ad Solutions, where they migrated old screens to new ones using React Native and followed UI/UX guidelines on Zeplin.

Most recently, Filipe joined Sortium in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer.

Filipe Macedo pursued their education in Computer Software Engineering from 2007 to 2009 at Estácio. Filipe completed a degree in Analysis and Systems Development during this period.
