Ville-Veikko Virtanen

Ville-Veikko Virtanen is an experienced geologist currently serving as a Mine Geologist at Sotkamo Silver AB, where responsibilities include supporting daily mine operations, mapping, data management, and supervising contractors. Previous roles include Geologist at ATlabra Oy and Terminal Solution Oy, focusing on asbestos sample analysis and quality documentation. Ville-Veikko has also gained experience as a Junior Geologist at Nordic Gold Corp., performing production geology tasks and supervising sampling crews, as well as summer trainee positions at Terrafame Ltd and Posiva Oy, focusing on grade control and drill core logging. Educated at the University of Turku, Ville-Veikko holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Mineralogy.
