Mackenly Jones has a diverse work experience in the field of web development and design. In 2018, they founded Tricities Media Group and served as the Founder/Owner. Mackenly also worked as a freelance web designer and developer starting from 2012. In 2020, they joined Visual Media Labs as a Community Manager, where they managed a Facebook group with over 65,000 creatives and handled content creation, moderation, and digital marketing. In 2022, they started working as a freelance web developer for Soulheart, providing extra web development capacity and expertise in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, Python, and custom WP plugins.

Mackenly Jones began their education in 2019 by enrolling in dual enrollment classes at East Tennessee State University. Mackenly then pursued their associate's degree in Information Technology: Programming at Northeast State Community College from 2020 to 2022. Subsequently, they attended King University from 2022 to 2023, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Mackenly has obtained several certifications. In June 2014, they earned their Open Water Diver certification from PADI. In October 2020, they obtained their sUAS Remote Pilot License from the Federal Aviation Administration. Mackenly also completed the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course provided by the American Heart Association in August 2022 and attained the ETS® Proficiency Profile: Level 3 Proficiency certification from ETS in March 2022. Furthermore, they completed the Mental Health First Aid USA training offered by Mental Health First Aid Maryland in November 2021 and the QPR Gatekeeper Training from the QPR Institute in the same month. Mackenly also holds the TestOut Security Pro Certification from TestOut Corporation, which they achieved in January 2023. Additionally, they obtained the Cloudflare Zaraz Certified Developer certification from Cloudflare in June 2023. Lastly, they were recognized for their achievements in the #HACK2022 competition, where they were involved with two top projects for the SOS Priority Project category, awarded by Indigitous in October 2022.
